Loree Christianson is a Dental Hygiene Practitioner (DHP). She has postgraduate training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT), beginning her journey in 2011, a Registered Buteyko Breathing Educator 2012, then a faculty member of The Breathe Institute in 2019, and has over 38 years of experience as a Dental Hygiene Practitioner.
She uses her knowledge and passion to collaborate with like-minded dental, healthcare, and whole-body providers locally and around the world to develop a multidisciplinary approach to health and wellness.
Her focus includes the tongue, airway, and facial musculature, and how these parts of the human body connect to general health and well-being. Orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) uses neurological re-education to assist the normalization of the developing or developed, craniofacial structures and function.
Her focus is to optimize normal oral function related to tongue placement, breathing, chewing, swallowing, establish normal oral rest posture of the tongue, and the upper & lower jaws. This can help with orthodontic treatment, sleep apnea, breathing disorders, snoring, TMJ pain & dysfunction, and speech therapy.
